Advocating for Insurance Recognition of Post-Mastectomy Areola Restoration
CCPM joins survivor groups in calling for consistent provincial coverage of 3D areola restoration as part of reconstructive care.

Restorative micropigmentation is a recognized component of breast reconstruction, yet coverage remains inconsistent across provinces. CCPM has begun formal advocacy toward recognizing 3D areola and nipple restoration as an integral, insurable stage of post-mastectomy care.
Working alongside survivor-led organizations, CCPM is compiling clinical evidence and patient outcomes to support submissions to provincial health authorities. The goal is equitable access regardless of postal code or income.
